Florida’s largest privately held land development offers multiple golf courses and pools, several clubhouses, more than 200 clubs, uncrowded housing with 10 floor plans, and so much more. This is a great place to find what you’re looking for in an active-adults community, no matter what you’re looking for.
Well over 200 clubs, groups, and organized activities meet regularly, satisfying any and all interests and hobbies. The educational program, Master the Possibilities, holds more than 1,300 classes and presentations each year. In addition, scheduled day trips to a variety of sports, cultural, and entertainment destinations go on throughout the year.
Tortoise & Hare and The Links are two private par-72 golf courses for residents, while a third, Candler Hills, is semi-private. There's also a driving range, practice facility, and pro shop. PGA and LPGA professionals are on staff offering clinics and lessons.
Several clubhouses add up to more than 250,000 square feet of amenities for the community. The Arbor Club Fitness Center has 10,000 square feet of exercise and swimming facilities; The Ranch Fitness Center and Spa and The Recreation Center house many additional pieces of exercise equipment and facilities, as well as other amenities.
There are a number of dining destinations on site, including Sid's Coffee Shop & Deli and Mr. B's Big Scoop Ice Cream located in Circle Square Ranch Town Center, The Pub inside The Recreation Center, and Candler Hills Restaurant at the golf course of the same name. The community also hosts its own weekly farmers market.
Along with three golf courses, residents have access to multiple fitness centers with indoor and outdoor pools, as well as courts and facilities for tennis, bocce ball, racquetball, miniature golf, shuffleboard, basketball, softball, pickle ball, horseshoes, billiards, and other sports and games. There are also two dog parks and a playground for furry residents and small visitors, respectively.
There are always concerts, dances, theatrical productions, happy hours with music and dancing, parties, and other get-togethers happening at On Top of the World. The Hobby Building offers many arts and crafts rooms and classes, including painting, ceramics, woodworking, sewing, and more. The community also has its own art gallery.
Residents can work in two gardens at On Top of the World, and over 15 miles of nature trails means lots of opportunity to exercise, explore the scenic surroundings, and spot all sorts of native Central Florida wildlife. The Ocala National Forest, state parks, campgrounds, lakes, springs, beaches, and other outdoors adventures are all close by too.
